For the first time in its history Leaders in Performance, the conference dedicated to the identification, development and management of elite sporting talent, will host a world class event on 4th and 5th June 2013, in New York City, USA, with leading industry figures from across North American and world sport.
The conference and networking platform will be limited to an invitation only audience of 300 of the world’s leading practitioners with 50% from North American sport and the other half from the rest of the world. It will be the first ever international gathering of performance professionals across multiple sports to take place in the world’s largest sports market.
The organisers have announced that a number of high-profile partners have already signed agreements to support the event in 2013 and that the programme will draw on ideas from world sport and other industries to challenge traditional thinking in areas such as human performance, organisational behaviour, team culture and technology.
James Worrall, CEO, Leaders says: “We are delighted to confirm the dates for our inaugural 2013 Leaders in Performance USA and are incredibly excited at what promises to be a unique opportunity for the rest of the world to meet best practice in the United States and vice versa. The Leaders team are constantly striving to improve the content and experience of our events and, after a comprehensive consultation process with our advisory board consisting of the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, MLS, UK Athletics, British Cycling, Seattle SeaHawks, Oakland A’s, Chelsea FC and many more, we have identified a number of exciting areas of exploration for the conference. And with a perfect mix of US and overseas delegates, we are convinced the platform will be second to none in terms of networking”
The Leaders in Performance UK conference, hosted at Chelsea FC in October this year invited an audience of 400 top practitioners to share best practice on innovation, team Culture, technology, analytics, leadership and behaviour presented by speakers such as Stuart Lancaster, Charles van Commenee, Mark Verstegen, Gary Kirsten, Steve McClaren among many others. The content for the USA edition of the event promises to build on the success and add even more cutting edge insights and learnings.
